Rivierdal to Sand ground
Boxtel is located between Den Bosch, Tilburg, and Eindhoven. The cycling route runs right through this town, which lies in the valley of the Dommel and Smalwater rivers. Heading north, you will pass several country estates, such as Zegenwerp, Zegenoode, and Wilhelminapark.
Wijboschbroek
The Wijboschbroek is a beautiful nature reserve north of Schijndel. Covering 150 hectares, it consists of a typical wetland landscape shaped by its moist and marshy soil. In the past, the area was mainly used for grazing cattle, and over time, parts of it were drained.
Cycling Route Linie 1629 along the Dike
The Linie 1629 cycling route is 49 km long and runs around ’s-Hertogenbosch, Sint-Michielsgestel, Vught, and Vlijmen. The route is marked with ‘Linie 1629’ signs and can be started at any point. Along the way, you’ll find information boards, and you can download a free app to explore the story of the Siege of ’s-Hertogenbosch.
